Beginner’s Classes

Io e l’italiano: Italian for travelers

Io e L’italiano is a structured beginner’s conversation course which aims is to equip students with the fundamentals of the Italian language within the context of every day practical and functional conversation. This course is ideal for people who intend to travel to Italy for holidays and for those who would just like to engage with Italians on a basic level. Topics include, introducing yourself, how to order in a bar and restaurant, shopping, taking public transport, etc. The traveller’s course is for 2 hours per week and runs for one term.

Cost: $300.00 for 8 X 2 hour sessions including textbook

Post Beginner’s Classes

Nuovo Espresso is a structured, communicative and progressive Italian language multi-media course. Each unit is structured around communicative functions (ordering in a restaurant, booking hotel-rooms, shopping etc.) and aspects of Italian cultural life such as Easter, films, family. The aim of this course is to provide students with a sound knowledge of Italian grammar within the context of everyday practical conversation. The course includes a textbook and a multimedia DVD. Students and teachers also have access to www.alma.tv which provides extra on-line material. 

Levels:
Nuovo Espresso A1: Post-Beginners 
Nuovo Espresso A2-B: intermediate 
Nuovo Espresso B1-B2: Advanced

Cost: $240.00 + $60.00 for textbook if required, for 8 x 1.5 hour sessions

Advanced Classes

Italiano per chi ci tiene È un corso rivolto a quelli che ci tengono a mantenere un alto livello della lingua italiana. Al nostro appuntamento settimanale ci incontreremo a prendere un caffè discuteremo degli argomenti interessanti seguendo un approccio tematico e comunicativo (B2-C1).
